Hello dearest readers,
First of all, I want to apologize for my hiatus, I have not forgotten about you guys and wish I was more active on the Fashion blog world. Like Gisela has mentioned a million times, I have been diligently working on my apartment like a slave. It's still not even 50% percent done, but I will show you guys soon what I have been going through. I have been documenting my process here and there. I have grown to love interiors so much, that I am highly considering a career in it!
Anyways, I am dedicating this entry to one of our readers- The LOYAL MS. YUMNA which continuously follows us and can't get enough of our blog. She personally wrote to me today and told me "I need to STEP IT UP!" I am Yumna, I am going to make it a priority to write and post more often than before. We almost have a one year in the blog world and 150 post later we are still here. If it wasn't for my dearest best friend Gisela the blog would be doomed! Again and Again, Gisela U ROCK! Thanks for all your dedication although your job is much harder than my 2 jobs and fixing my apt! I ADMIRE U and THANK YOU SO MUCH...for not letting our Heights of Fashion die!
I am wearing a Christian Dior Vintage Wool Coat that I been having for many years, Club Monaco Long Sleeve Tee, Phi Boots, Jimmy Choo Motorcycle Ramona bag, Leopard Gloves from H&M, and Vintage hat with Mink Pom Pom.
These pics were taken in Brooklyn in the Dumbo area, it was a couple days before Xmas. I Couldn't stop laughing as the gentlemen was riding his bike on the cobblestone streets with a Xmas tree on his back! Talk about getting some exercise, LOL.
I love love the purple color on this coat. Also, you can't really see the shoulder pads, but they have rounded shoulders...very cool silhouette.
I love the old train tracks that still remain. Brooklyn has so much history, I wonder when was the last time trains passed through this street.
Maybe I was mad or something with that frowned face,I can't really remember, but I wanted to show you the beautiful color of the coat!
Beautiful view of the bridge.
I stopped by the Dumbo Pop-Up Market but didn't really saw anything that caught my attention, plus I was looking for house stuff and they didn't really have a great selection, but it was fun!
My Starbucks Caramel Brule Latte was amazing and I am so mad that is only a seasonal drink! Starbucks, please please please bring it back!
A view across the river...NYC.
I leave you with a pic I took of these amazing Red Velvet cupcakes my friend Lucy made for me. They were delicious. This weekend is my housewarming party and we are going to have a big bash, I can't wait. I am super overwhelmed preparing for it as I have a million things to still do. The pic of the background is one of my favorites pics of Lisa Fonssagrives, an amazing 1930's-50's model wearing Balenciaga! She was married to Photographer Irving Penn too after divorcing Photographer Ferdinand Fonssagrives! Lucky Lady!
The pic was taken on top of my vanity in my closet with a pair of Louboutins. I painted my closet in Dior Grey by Benjamin Moore which I adore!
More of the legendary Ms. Lisa Fonssagrives!
She was quoted in a 1949 article in Time magazine as saying: "It is always the dress, it is never, never the girl. I'm just a good clothes hanger." How clever of her to say that!
Have a wonderful day!
XOXOXOXO
Maury
