I'm still reeling from the stupendous luck I had yesterday! My building, the Trump Plaza, hosted a tag sale of surplus furniture they needed to get rid of. I walked in out of sheer curiosity and left with sweaty palms, butterflies in my stomach and wicked smile on my face! Here's why:
Leather, nailhead daybed $220
White pony hair ottomans: 2 for $100
Lucite coffee table (over 200 lbs) $300 (horns were free!)
Oversized pair of lamps: 2 for $100
Bulbous chandelier lamp: $25
Silver polished floor lamps: 2 for $100
The piece de resistance!
Silky gold velvet high-back wing chair with leather and studded detail: $200!
Various home accents:
Lucite box
Antique gold mirrored waste basket
Maury convinced me to join the Home Goods contest this week. The theme is "
;Natural Charm" and this is what I submitted:
"Found this horse in Home Goods today! Made of light wood, I was drawn to her cascading hair. Placed her in the room with my faves, antique chair and madagascar horns!"
Hope you guys enjoyed this post! I know some of you wanted to see some more home stuff so I hope I've satisfied that itch :-) Needless to say my place is beyond cluttered but its ok cause I'm moving to a bigger place in NYC next month, hurray!
PS: Wait til' you get a load of Maury's new french provincial chaise!!
xo!
