Maury and I have always had an affinity for interiors and finally one of us is doing something with it! Soon, my dearest Maury will launch her "Maison Bisono" interiors site where she will blog about her adventures in interior decorating! She's got a handful of clients whom she's presently working with simultaneously. I'm so proud of her..she's actually been a great influence on me, especially lately..she talks non-stop about Kelly Wearstler and it rubbed off on me. I finally got my first Kelly book, the Domicillium Decoratus! Maury's had this book for years, among other Kelly books, but this one struck me the most. Anywho, I've always been an avid collector of anything I really like, lool, and for the past 5 years or so I've had a nasty obsession with animal things and its culminated to my current collection of somewhat macabre things..
I got this authentic cow skull from a nice lady on craigslist. It's very real and very delicate. It gives me shivers when I look at it but I can't help but find beauty in it
The same lady had this large piece of driftwood set on marble for sale and it was such an amazing piece of work I had to have it! The ceramic white skull was a great buy on ebay too.
Deer antler's from Marhall's Home Goods department store. I'm thinking of mounting them in my new apt.. did I mention I'm moving back to NYC and leaving dear old Jersey behind..sigh.. The zebra ottoman is from JCPenny and the mongolian fur is from a leather store in Toronto.
Today I visited Marhsall's Home Goods again (Maury's favorite haunt!) and I found this beauty!
Found this Venus de Milo bust on craigslist. I think it adds a bit of softness to my otherwise hardcore stuff.
Tonight there were fireworks in my neighborhood! No idea why but I quickly took some shots. I love fireworks, they are so epic! Especially with the Statue of Liberty and Verrazano Bridge (longest bridge in the US) in the backdrop.
