DIY Alexander Wang Fringe Platforms

After going to Opening Ceremony and unsuccessfully trying to convince the sales associate to sell us a size 9 Alexander Wang fringed platforms that were just shipped in, we decided to do our own version of the bootie because we just couldnt wait!  The waiting list for these is a mile long, although they did call us back saying that there was another style available. We politely declined and asked them to keep us on the waiting list for the fringed ones.

Checkout the Alice + Olivia for Payless black slingback platforms. We bought a yard of fringed curtain tassles, cut them into 4 strips, added some velcro, wrapped them around our ankles and voila! Alexander Wang, eat your heart out! Lol, just kidding!

We can't wait to put an outfit together with our version :)

  1. Crazy. The fringe are definitly hot. if your going to use leather I suggest using cement glue...the ones they use on shoes...make sure you apply the glue on both sides (the parts on which they are going to come together and attach)...wait for the glue to dry on both sides before sticking them on together or else the bond is not going to be as strong.
