The Wedding of the Year!

I am soo very proud to call this amazing woman, whose creativity seeps from her pores, my sister-in-law! Nargis is her name and it means flower in Arabic and that is such an understatement, she's more than a flower, she's a beautiful human specimen!

I've always admired her ability to effortlessly paint, illustrate, sew, design, decorate, sing, dance you name, she does it, and to perfection. She's a tour-de-force and natural virtuoso!

The epitome of her skills was illustrated in the planning of her magical wedding. She solely planned her wedding from designing the dress, to making her own shoes, to decorating the hall, everything else that is involved in the making of a dream wedding and then some.

I hope you all enjoy these wonderful pictures. Every shot was deliberately planned by her, she loves drama and you can tell!

Here's she is with self-made headpiece!

She chose Coney Island Brooklyn Beach for her outdoor shots.

She had her brother (my hubby) apply Swarovski crystals around her neck and back to give the illusion of a diamond necklace. Weeks before she had him sketch out the design and do a run through with her so that the crystals would be perfectly aligned.

She arranged the lighting in the hall.

She handpicked all the decorations and manually created a Japanese garden theme.

She put these Chinese lanterns up herself. She did the entire hall the night before, incredible!

Smokey entrance, how grande!

She designed the bridesmaids dresses as well. Here I am with my hubby..check out my Louboutin Zeppas peeking through my kimono :-))

She made all the bridesmaids fans/bouquets.

And her own as well...black feathers with Swarovski crystals.

She made her own shoes too!

The Hall..

She commissioned a baker and had them bake a cake that looked like a Japanese lantern.

More pics of the lovely couple!

She planned this shot with the famous Coney Island Ferris Wheel in the background

And finally, this is a picture she took of the invitations she sent out. The paper was scrolled and placed into the bottle  with sand and shells, and it arrived in a cute lil' box! Think this pic was taken at the beach, uh uh! She bought sand, placed it on a flat surface at home and contoured the sand to look like a beach shot! Genius! And not only that, the poem printed on the paper is his actual wedding pro
posal. Those are the exact words he used to ask for hand in marriage the night he proposed..HOW ROMANTIC!

  11. WOW she is unbelievably talented!!! She should really go into the wedding design business, I cannot believe all the painstaking details she did, and all by herself! Is she a designer by occupation?
