Back from Europe! Another dream come true! Wonderful trip the family and I had but before anything I must tell you all about The Puces market in Paris! It was beyond anything I could've imagined! All I kept thinking was "I wish Maury was here!" One day was not enough to explore this vast maze of palatial antiques. Breathtaking!
Thanks to Maury's advice and knowledge she gained living in Europe a few years ago, and with a lil help from the reliable and incredibly worldy HauteWorld, I was able to navigate the city just fine. Maury sent me this link which was a life-saver http://www.parisperfect.com/paris-flea-markets.php. Last time I visited Paris I was a teenager so I was a bit nervous but our family had a great time!
The pictures below were taking in and around the Rue de Rossiers where most of the antique stores are at the Puces Market.
I regret not getting this bobcat rug! It was priced at 800 euros and I was confident I'd find something similar for less on ebay, but to my dismay, I did not...sigh..I shall keep looking though!
This was my uniform in Europe: Dolce & Gabbana navy military coat, rock tee gift from a friend, black jeans, Coco Alexander Wang duffel and Louboutin gold studded brogues. True comfort!
Portobello Market in London was not as impressive but had it highlights.
A shot of the shoe closet at "One of a Kind" (http://www.1kind.co.uk/) Both Kate Moss and Sienna Miller are fans and loyal clients of this wonderful vintage nook. It's also a treasure chest for european stylists that style for the chicest mags such as Paris Vogue, 10 and I-D. I for one found the prices a bit inflated but then I remembered where I was..lol.
Maury and I are planning a visit to Paris beginning of March for Fashion Week! Keeping our fingers crossed for that!
We hope you enjoyed the pics!!
Xoxo!
