IMAN TAKES OVER AMERICA!

So exciting to see Bravo's The Fashion Show Season 2 debut last night! Although I worked with the iconic Iman on 2 previous tv shows (Project Runway Canada Seasons 1 & 2) there's nothing more incredible than having her finally take America by storm with her incredible homegirl sense of humor and her cutting wit!

I witnessed, in part, the making of this brilliant season 2 while rigorously working on the Somalian beauty's wardrobe and last night I was able to see it all come together so fluidly. 

Bravo!!! (no pun intended, lol)

On my way to MUSE concert 2 weeks ago (which by the way, changed my life!!) I saw the TFS ad  in the subway for the very first time! Needless to say I felt proud when I saw her looking badass in THE BLONDS one-of-a-kind gold metal corset dress paired with studded gold Louboutins. That piece weighed a TON and transporting it to her shoot was no easy feat. It required serious packaging and its own suitcase, good God!

Minutes before Iman was to do her first taping, this Marchesa dress I requested came in. Iman was already dressed and ready to go on stage wearing a classic yet demure black sheath dress (designer will remain nameless ;-) I quickly and delicately introduced her this work of art and she asked what I thought :-) Once she put it on, there was no question this was "IT!" It was like finding the perfect wedding dress, lmao!

A die-hard Lanvin fan, she, obviously wore Monsieur Elbaz' design on her debut. She said to me "I want something with drama!" The collar on this Lanvin sold her and off she was to judge her 1st episode! The TF panel consists of Issac Mizrahi, Laura Brown from Harper's Bazaar wearing Rodarte (loved it!) and the gorgeous and talented Rachel Roy.

This woman is a power-house! and a self-promoting goddess! lol..She calculatingly timed her debut on  TFS with a glamorous and ethereal fashion spread in Harper's Bazaar Dec. issue. 

Bazaar asks her what is the best accessory? Iman replies: wigs! and a rich husband, who buys you the wigs!" LMAO

Like a total geek, I asked my hubby to take a pic of the credits at the end of the show, nothing like seeing your name in arial font on TV, lol!
