Dolce & Gabbana Fringe Boots

I need your help! I purchased these over-the-top Dolce & Gabbana chalk white fringed, thigh-high boots at the Dolce sample sale Maury and I went to a few weeks ago. They've been hiding in my closet ever since! I find them completely intimidating yet am in total awe of them. Throughout my shopaholic life, I make it a point to wear everything I purchase because I'd feel like a complete idiot if i paid x amount of money for something and just have it sitting in my closet collecting dust. The guilt would consume me. Therefore, I refuse to let that happen to these puppies but I need your help in figuring out what the heck to wear them with! I'm going in the right direction  in wearing something simple, an outfit that does not challenge or overpower these babies, but the question is what?!!! Help!

By the way, thanks guys for helping me out with the Alexander Wang duffel dilemma. Many of you voted for the camel sued and I was convinced! You guys were right, perfect for the spring and even fall and those silver studs rock! But you also mentioned how suede is vulnerable to color transfer and its happened already, but its ok.. i don't mind the worn look. lool.

Here I am below taking a pic to send to Maury so she can help me make the final decision. She voted for the camel too! Wish I could keep them both cause the black sure shoots well! But I must be a responsible shopaholic and sell one..

  1. Wow, these boots are really crazy. Just try them with a simple mini dress, it should work.
I'd keep both bags if I were you :p

  2. Those boots are definitely going to be hard to wear now that it's so warm in ny, but they would definitely top off a tonal cream/taupe look wonderfully. Try them with a pair of opaque tights of a slightly darker shade, some classy high waisted shorts, some kind of blouse and maybe a cardigan or leather jacket. Pick out anything in shades of cream and taupe, you'll be surprised how easy it will be to build outfits around these boots. I also love that the heel on them isn't too high - once you get some ideas of how to wear them they will definitely be a comfortable go to statement piece.

  3. LOVE the boots!! They're awesome!! You can wear them with all black- black leggings and a great black Alexander Wang V neck Tee or you can wear them with a denim mini dress.

  5. Oh fab boots! I would try them with something simple first like jeans, blush coloured topm a cream blazer and your Wang! I think they would also look great with bare legs and a soft sweater dress in a tan or beige maybe - cant wait to see how the look all styled up x

  6. Luv, luv, luv the boots and BOTH Wang bags (I got the Denim Blue Suede version exclusive to Shop Bop - so I'm partial to the beige/camel color!) I absolutely adore and am obsessed with statement pieces - anything with that WOW-factor.....so I die for your boots!!! I'd do something like a black body-con mini dress (be careful not to end up looking too much like 'Pretty Woman'! ha) Or even pair it with a classic white button down & jeans (roll the sleeves/pop that collar - and gooooo!) I can't wait to see yer outfit pics!!

  7. If I had the boots I would wear them with a simple red mini dress and turqouise jewels. I would play up the Native Americaness of the fringes on the boots. I have the perfect brown fringed bag that would complete the outfit. Damn, now I want a pair!
