Gisela, my sister Madelyn and I did some serious damage this weekend at the Barneys Warehouse sale. I told Gisela I wasn't going to buy anything for myself, but as soon as I laid my eyes on these beautiful taupe Dillian Louboutins that I have been wanting since the day I saw them, I said, NOOOOOO way, I can't leave them behind and let them be a treasure of someone else. I felt like they were my children and I couldn't leave them abandon for someone else to rip them apart, used them up, and take advantage of them. I had to adopt them and make them mine forever. LOL. They weren't even my size but I didn't care because with Gisela's idea of wearing insoles, the problem was fixed in no time. I feel like I am in heaven every time I look at them as they are so dreamy and exquisite. I can't wait to paint the city red with these babies:)
We will keep you guys updated with our other purchases throughout the week.
FYI: Most Bottom pics were taken with Iphone so I apologize for the quality of the pictures.
Here are some "sneak peak" pictures of my apt. I know you guys have been waiting patiently to see my apt, so here are some quick shots of some corners around my apt.
Above is a glimpse of one side of my bedroom as I was browsing through magazines and Interior Design books. I have chandeliers in every one of my rooms in the apt, here you can see a glimpse of the crystal one I bought from Zgallerie. My mannequin is wearing an amazing Gianfranco Ferre gown.
Close-up of the Gianfranco Ferre Gown
Mirrored night table with black buddha and beautiful pink roses. I try to buy myself flowers every week, it makes me happy and makes me look forward to having them open up.
A corner in my livingroom where I put these picture of one of my favorites old models Lisa Fonssagrives that I had blogged about a couple postings below. Again, more fresh flowers and books.
Another pic of another corner of my livingroom where I have an antique mirror my mom passed down to me and a portion of my book collection. As you can see, I have books all over my apt.
One of my proudest accomplishments in my apt. I completely gutted this bathroom and designed it and this is part of what I came up with! I feel like I am in a hotel in a 5 Star hotel in Bali or some other exotic place.
Hope you guys enjoyed my lil "sneak peak" I will show before and afters soon.

ReplyDeleteEVERYTHING LOOKS SO GLAMOROUS - I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE REST!!
ReplyDeleteThe picture of the evening gown, mannequin and nightstand looks a lot like a post dated 12/19/09 on the blog Queen of the Friggin Universe.
ReplyDeleteYour apartment is so elegant! Love the sneak peeks. I'd love to see more. And I love love love that you said you put a chandelier in every room. If it were up to me I would do the EXACT same thing. I'd even put one in the fireplace. (I saw it in an anthropologie catalog and it's been in my mind ever since)
ReplyDeleteOMGGGG Maury, Please come to Texas and give me a makeover on my home. You're the best!!! The place looks great.
